where it began

Here we are the beginning of not only 2026 but bench sports media. Why bench sports media? Simply put there is no better view from the bench whether that be sports or beyond. In my case I grew up playing sports from football and baseball to basketball and track no matter the time of the year I was involved with something. Some might say I peeked in Pop Warner/ little league football and baseball and to those folks I say you are probably right because others began to catch up to my early puberty body and the view of the field started to get further and further away as my spot on the field became closer and closer to the bench. This is where the origination of the name bench sports media arises. Now I am not alone where you want to admit or not there are many of us bench warriors who feel qualified to talk about sports but don’t necessarily have the pedigree to speak on it other than of stardom of youth sports.

This site has been created to allow me to get off takes that I feel very strongly about but are probably too idiotic to be published on actual sites that have people who pay for decent content. While not controversial in the sense of politics or race some ideas that on created in my head are often not backed by much information other than my opinion has a previous star Pop Warner quarterback.

A lot of this content if not all of this content is going to revolve around college and NFL football. As a FSU alumni this is also going to occupy a lot of the blog waves especially given our just outright terrible 2024 and 2025 seasons. Don’t get me wrong as bad as we have been I do classify myself as a “ball-watcher” (RELAX) and a “ball-knower”. A disclaimer upfront despite my college degree my grammar is ASS so just read the blogs and if they are grammatically incorrect… fuck off, I don’t care. These are for me not you.

Lasty, why now? To be honest I have a 7-month old daughter and as I was feeding her last night I thought this might be a half way decent idea. You know what they say about half way decent ideas? Buy an IP, create a website, and upload your stupid football takes onto it even though you have never done this before.
